Purchasing Clerk Job Description

Luggage City is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our team. As a Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate costs of orders and negotiate prices with suppliers
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports, and records
  • Process purchases and resolve delivery and other problems with suppliers
  • Review requisition orders for accuracy and verify stock availability
  • Compile inventory reports and maintain stock rotation
  • Monitor inventory levels and prepare requisition orders to replenish stock
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers and perform data entry
  • Negotiate price when purchasing or selling and review purchase order claims and contracts
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in purchasing or a related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
