Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our private household as a child care provider. This is a permanent position, requiring 40 hours of work per week.

  • The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • They will be responsible for assuming full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and ensuring the safety and health of infants and children.
  • Other key responsibilities include bathing, dressing, and feeding children, disciplining them according to the parents' requested methods, instructing them in personal hygiene and social development, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home.
Key Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability. They will also need to have a CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.

  • Additional requirements include supervising and caring for multi-aged groups of children, preparing nutritious meals, and taking children to and from school and appointments.
  • The ideal candidate will also have efficient communication skills, be able to organize activities for children, and ensure their emotional well-being.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Benefits may include optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, although this is not a condition of employment.

Work Environment and Conditions

The work site environment is non-smoking, and the employer's home provides a comfortable and safe space for childcare. The job requires repetitive tasks, but the physical demands are manageable, with weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
