Financial Analyst Opportunity

Part Time CFO Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the financial success of our clients, including National Shunt Services Ltd.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in accounting and finance to assist with financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations, and financial commentary. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and accruals
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and provide financial commentary to management
  • Generate and distribute financial and operational reports
  • Recommend system and process improvements
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecast updates
  • Analyze variances between actuals and budget
  • Conduct research on routine accounting transactions
  • Prepare and remit source deductions, payroll tax, and HST
Requirements
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative and able to work well in a team environment
  • Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic business setting
