We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team at Dun-Rite Plastics & Custom Fabrication Inc. as a Precision Machining Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for instructing apprentices, verifying machined parts, programming CNC machine tools, and reading blueprints.
Key Responsibilities- Instructing Apprentices: Provide guidance and training to junior toolmakers to ensure they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Verifying Machined Parts: Use precision measuring instruments to inspect and verify the quality of machined parts, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Programming CNC Machine Tools: Set up and operate computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-precision parts and components.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret and understand blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production of parts and components.
- Patternmaking Experience: Develop and create metal patterns, use production pattern equipment, and work with plastics and foundry match plate work.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and maintain manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, and a strong team player attitude.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
The successful candidate will work in a noisy and dusty environment, with a focus on precision and quality.
