Hospital Porter

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hospital Porter to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a Hospital Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
- Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
- Security and Safety: Ensure a safe and secure environment by following all security protocols and procedures.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player skills.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Language: English.
- Work Term: Temporary.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
