We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hospital Cleaner to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a Hospital Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
- Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and credit check.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, team player, excellent written communication, and values and ethics.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
