MCM-D'Lusso Construction is seeking a highly skilled Tile Installation Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week with a competitive estimated salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base, aligning and straightening tiles, and preparing tenders and quotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Alignment and Straightening: Align and straighten tiles to ensure proper fit and appearance.
  • Tender Preparation: Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, providing detailed estimates and specifications.
  • Cutting and Fitting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Instructing Apprentices: Instruct apprentices in the installation process, ensuring they understand the skills and techniques required.
  • Grouting and Removing Cracked Tiles: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, and remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Supervising Other Workers: Supervise other workers on site, ensuring they are following safety protocols and meeting quality standards.

  • The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail is crucial, as small errors can impact the overall quality of the installation.
