About the Role:
This is a full-time position, working 32 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofs, including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles. The role requires strong physical abilities, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new roofs using hand and power tools, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting project deadlines.
- Repair damaged or leaking roofs, identifying and addressing any underlying issues.
- Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- a secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- 2-3 years of experience in roofing installation and repair;
- excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights;
- strong communication and teamwork skills;
- a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
