Job Title: Software Developer Full-time

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our IT team. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing Python and Django applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop well-structured, testable code following coding standards
  • Read and understand Java code and translate to Python and Django applications
  • Participate in code reviews, document design, and identify areas for improvement
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Work with the team to develop software test plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Maintenance of existing applications via enhancements and production defect support
  • Interact with peers, help desk, and management personnel to resolve issues
Qualifications:
  • Great interpersonal skills and team player
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Development experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Full stack development experience in Python, Django
  • Experience with GIT
  • Some experience in Agile methodologies and practices
  • Automated end-to-end test experience is highly valued
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or equivalent required

2 years of related work experience

Salary Range(s):

$62,500 - $90,500 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in PEI

$73,600 / Other BC Areas $69,400 - Lower Mainland $106,600 / Other BC Areas $100,600 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)

The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec, certain roles are bonus eligible.
