About the Role

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for administering the planning, promotion, execution, and year-round career building activities involved in the NATO Field School (NFS). This includes promoting, admitting, organizing, and traveling with NFS participants. The Coordinator will also supervise several interns and oversee all communications with over 25 different universities and multiple stakeholders on a year-round basis. Additionally, the Coordinator will run the managerial aspects of three multiple day simulations in Latvia, Italy, and Brussels, and organize the Rome Student Engagement Conference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the planning, promotion, execution, and year-round career building activities involved in the NFS
  • Supervise several interns and oversee all communications with over 25 different universities and multiple stakeholders
  • Run the managerial aspects of three multiple day simulations in Latvia, Italy, and Brussels
  • Organize the Rome Student Engagement Conference
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have organizational, budget management, and people management skills combined with good communication and planning skills. A Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Criminology, History, or a related discipline, and two years of related experience in administration, program or project management, event planning, and stakeholder engagement, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.

  • The candidate will have a basic understanding of security and defence fields of study and engagement
  • The ideal candidate will have personal experience in the NATO Field school as a student or intern
  • The candidate is ambitious, organized, and highly self-motivated
