Job Summary

PLENTY OF LIQUOR is seeking a highly skilled Liquor Store Supervisor to join our team. As a Liquor Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our liquor store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Ensure that all sales staff are assigned to their duties in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Order Merchandise: Order liquor and other merchandise to ensure that the store is well-stocked at all times.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Authorize the return of merchandise that is defective or does not meet the store's quality standards.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that all staff members are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Sell Merchandise: Sell liquor and other merchandise to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to ensure that the store is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Resolve Issues: Resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain the store's inventory to ensure that it is well-stocked and easily accessible.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of all staff members to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Support for Veterans: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
