Job Title: Front Desk Hotel Clerk

Podollan Grande Prairie Inn & Spa Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk Hotel Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests while ensuring a smooth and efficient front desk operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Registering guests and assigning rooms
  • Processing group arrivals and departures
  • Taking, canceling, and changing room reservations
  • Providing information on hotel facilities and services
  • Processing guests' departures, calculating charges, and receiving payments
  • Balancing cash and completing balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Maintaining an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
  • Following emergency and safety procedures
  • Clerical duties (faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Answering telephone and relaying telephone calls and messages
  • Assisting clients/guests with special needs
  • Contacting customers to deliver requested wake-up calls
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Providing customer service
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience or equivalent experience
  • Multi-line switchboard experience
  • Word processing software skills
  • Central reservation system (CRS) experience
  • Spreadsheet skills
  • Internet skills
