Tech Digital manufactures audio and video infrastructure equipment for the television broadcast and film industry. Our team of 60+ culturally diverse hourly manufacturing employees are split between two shifts: day (7am-3:30pm) and afternoon (3:30pm-12am).

Job Description
This is a full-time position that requires a proactive HR Generalist with a positive attitude to balance the needs of the business along with the needs of our employees. The ideal candidate should have a caring, approachable personality and experiences in Health & Safety, Payroll, and Employee Relations.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of HR and work closely with the Plant Manager. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day HR guidance and support to management and staff, managing employee relations issues and investigating discrimination and harassment allegations, and developing and maintaining policies and procedures including Health and Safety, AODA, and other HR policies as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to management and staff
  • Manage employee relations issues and investigate discrimination and harassment allegations
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures
  • Responsible for payroll processing and benefits plan administration
  • Manage Health & Safety programs and related training
  • Keep management apprised of current employment-related legislation

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have a post-secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, and at least 3 years of HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. You should also have strong knowledge of employment and health and safety legislation, exceptional organizational, problem identification, and resolution skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
