As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Nursing Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with our healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other caregivers, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Ensure Resident Safety and Well-being: Implement protocols to prevent accidents, ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges, and maintain a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
  • Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the safe and efficient management of medications, narcotics, and other supplies, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
  • Document Resident Information: Accurately and thoroughly document resident information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent, and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation and regulations, as well as experience working in a long-term care setting.
  • Personal Qualities: Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards residents, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and service.
