Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Consultant to contribute to the overall success of the MD Client Value Performance in Canada.

This exciting opportunity involves reporting to the Regional Manager and assisting MD clients and their families in achieving their personal financial goals.

The ideal candidate will leverage their years of experience and strong client focus to prepare comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies for clients, while furthering their knowledge of advanced financial planning concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a team approach by actively referring clients to various services.
  • Participate in facilitating seminars and information meetings throughout the region.
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote the Bank's products and services.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience providing financial advice within the financial services industry.
  • A university degree in business, commerce, or financial planning, and hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • IIROC licensed as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR), including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH).
  • Life License (LLQP) and a willingness to complete other regulatory requirements.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This salary range is based on national averages for senior financial consultant positions in Canada.
