Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at PEACE RIVER BOAT & AUTO REPAIR LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, as well as adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engine repair, 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, and diesel engines.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements:
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • Motor Vehicle Repairer (Service Station Mechanic) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field
