Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer will be a key executive, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors, to drive the organization's mission of providing tailored support to its member communities and ensuring sustainable growth and development. This newly created role demands a leader with a strategic and compassionate approach, capable of aligning financial strategies with the company's goals and of fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial aspects, including budgeting and planning processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and identifying and mitigating financial and organizational risks.
• Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, CEO, and other senior executives.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education, such as a bachelor's degree, MBA, or CPA designation.
• Minimum of 10 years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably within a First Nations or Indigenous organization.
• In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving organizational objectives.
