Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer

CS Group Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for testing and validating embedded safety-critical software applications for aerospace and defense systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retro-engineer design from code to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct unit and integration testing on complex software functions
  • Develop and run tests on test platforms to verify design correctness
  • Debug issues raised during the software development cycle
  • Ensure traceability between software design and test artifacts
  • Conduct independent peer reviews on design, code, and tests
  • Draft final technical documents
  • Provide clear status and workload to supervisors
  • Participate in continuous improvement of team performance
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in languages ADA, C, or C++
  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Interest in troubleshooting complex software problems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity, and ability to find solutions and compromises
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in testing tools such as LDRA or VectorCAST or equivalent
  • Experience in GreenHills Tools is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computing Science or equivalent
  • Basics in DO-178B or C or equivalent standard
  • Basics in communication protocols CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet
  • Software knowledge: Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN
