Geriatric Psychiatrist Opportunity

Island Health is seeking a skilled Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team in the Comox Valley and Campbell River areas. As a key member of our Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, you will provide high-quality care to older adults with psychiatric and cognitive challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consulting services for outpatients, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide medico-legal expertise as required
  • Offer inpatient psychiatry and consult liaison services at Comox Valley Hospital
  • Develop and implement care plans for older adults with complex needs
  • Collaborate with geriatric medicine, adult psychiatry, and hospitalist services
