Geriatric Psychiatrist Opportunity

The Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at Island Health is seeking a full-time Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team in the Comox Valley and Campbell River region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient psychiatry and consult liaison services to patients at Comox Valley Hospital
  • Offer long-term care outreach services
  • Participate in the Comox Valley Hospital ECT roster
Education and Teaching Opportunities:

Clinical faculty appointments are available for all geriatric psychiatrists through a joint application to the University of Victoria Island Medical Program and University of BC Faculty of Medicine.

Relocation and Benefits:
  • Relocation assistance up to $15,000
  • CME funding: $2,200 per annum for years 3-4 and $4,400 per annum after 4 years in the community
