Dishroom Assistant - Shiso Japanese Restaurant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishroom Assistant to join our team at Shiso Japanese Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic work environment.
• Operate dishwashers and other cleaning equipment to ensure efficient and effective cleaning processes.
• Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen area and dispose of them properly.
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas, including shelves, cabinets, and drawers.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen staff.

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience in a kitchen environment is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

This is a permanent position with 30-40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
