Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficient product flow and meeting customer demand.
- Analyze production volume and re-evaluate resources throughout the day to optimize performance.
- Communicate effectively with the management team, resolving problems and ensuring business objectives are met.
- Instill a culture of safety in the workplace, identifying and escalating safety issues as needed.
- Collaborate with human resources to hire staff and mentor supervisors to enhance their performance.
- Monitor and determine labor budgets, identify process improvements, and contribute to their implementation.
- Accelerate receiving, picking, and shipping of priority products, ensuring cross-training is completed and updated.
- Inspect the physical condition of the distribution center and equipment daily, performing maintenance and repairs as required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume distribution center.
- Ability to build and lead a high-performance team, build relationships, and gain the confidence of others.
- Excellent communication skills, experience working with integrated warehouse management systems, and strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions based on limited information and changing conditions.
- Proven track record of compliance with safety requirements and ability to establish a safety culture among subordinates and peers.
