About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community setting. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to clients with a variety of diagnoses and injuries, with a focus on returning them to their previous level of function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat clients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment, and other interventions as needed.
  • Provide workplace accommodations and support to clients returning to work.
  • Conduct in-vivo exposure therapy and behavioral activation to support clients with mental health needs.
Requirements
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Clinical experience in areas such as brain injury rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal and orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics, and/or return to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
