About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse with Alberta Health Services, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality patient care in our 30-bed Long Term Care unit. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient conditions
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patients' unique needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Completion of the CRNA Medication Management - Chapters and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (if not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years)
