Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Westover Inn. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-In/Check-Out
    • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Room Reservations and Management
    • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Guest Services
    • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.
    • Assist guests with special needs, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is an asset.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in word processing software, database software, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
