Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team at Westover Inn. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Take, cancel and change room reservations
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide customer service
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Work under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with database software
  • Knowledge of word processing software
  • Spreadsheet skills
