About the Role

The Equity Compensation Plan Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the Corporate Secretary in administering all of Magna's equity-based compensation plans for the Board of Directors, senior leaders, and other employees. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of executive stock options and performance stock units, as well as handling restricted stock units for non-executive employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the transition from Excel-based equity compensation processes to a third-party platform.
  • Administer executive stock option and performance stock unit grants, exercises, redemptions, and cancellations.
  • Handle non-executive employees' restricted stock unit grants, redemptions, and cancellations.
  • Coordinate with payroll, tax, HR, legal, and other personnel in connection with the above responsibilities.
  • Provide general compensation forecasting and analysis.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of work-related experience.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Highly organized and efficient in managing workload.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with stock-based compensation terms and concepts.
  • Experience in compensation forecasting and administration.
  • Proficiency with Excel and third-party tech platforms such as Global Shares/ShareWorks.
