About the Role:

As an Asset Protection Specialist with Loblaw Companies Limited, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our retail locations and assets from theft and fraud. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deter, detect, and apprehend individuals engaging in theft and fraud within our retail locations;
  • Collaborate with other Asset Protection Specialists to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases;
  • Build and maintain store partnerships through management meetings and huddles, while coaching and mentoring colleagues on Asset Protection policies and procedures;
  • Participate in conducting store-level audits and contribute to a culture of inclusiveness and belonging within the workplace.

Your Qualifications:

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License required;
  • Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest and CCTV and/or surveillance systems;
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor;
  • A high degree of initiative and integrity to excel in a dynamic environment.
