Borea Construction is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our wind project sites are operated in an environmentally responsible manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and monitor environmental aspects of wind turbine construction work.
- Validate compliance with specifications, monitoring plans, laws, regulations, and conditions of regulatory authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, approval authorities, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Propose solutions to environmental problems related to construction.
- Participate in the development of new tools and services offered by the company.
- Collaborate in obtaining environmental permits and certificates of authorization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Renewable Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Advanced knowledge of environmental standards and regulations.
- Proficient in ArcGIS software and technical skills.
- Advanced bilingualism in English and French, written and spoken.
- Experience in the construction industry and its health and safety standards.
