Traffic Control Specialist

Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited is seeking a skilled Traffic Control Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to incidents on provincial highways, including traffic accidents, spills, and emergency situations. They will work closely with provincial and local police and emergency response services to ensure the safety of the travelling public.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of emergency response management principles and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. They will also be proficient in computer skills and have a valid Class DZ driver's license. OTM BOOK 7 certification is required.
The Traffic Control Technician will be responsible for completing incident reports, coordinating detour routes, and tracking and maintaining files on major incidents and accidents. They will also assist with the administration of third-party claims and coordinate special events involving traffic control, detours, and/or closures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incidents on provincial highways, including traffic accidents, spills, and emergency situations
- Work closely with provincial and local police and emergency response services to ensure the safety of the travelling public

- Assist with the administration of third-party claims

Requirements:
- High School Diploma - required
- Minimum of 2 + years' work experience in highway maintenance operations, freeway traffic control, and incidents/accidents management
- Valid Class DZ driver's license is required with a good driving record to drive company vehicle
- OTM BOOK 7 certification required
