Occasional Teaching Opportunity for Aspiring Educators

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Non-Certified Occasional Teachers. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom and contribute to the success of our students.

As a Non-Certified Occasional Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing lesson plans left by the classroom teacher, maintaining proper order and discipline in the classroom, and remaining in contact with the School Principal or Vice Principal on a frequent basis throughout the school day.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. You will also need to have a strong commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for our students.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Implementing lesson plans left by the classroom teacher where possible
  • Maintaining proper order and discipline in the teacher's classroom, while on duty in the school and on the school ground
  • Remaining in contact with the School Principal or Vice Principal on a frequent basis throughout the school day to ensure safety of all students

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Resume (upon applying)
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check (required prior to starting in a school)
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • Proof that you are currently enrolled in a post-secondary university program working towards obtaining your teaching certificate
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred

HOURS: 8:00am to 4:00pm

LOCATION: Various elementary and secondary schools

RATE OF PAY: $40.24 / hour
