Assistant Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Strike Group is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Field Support Specialist to assist our team at the Crossfield fabrication shop. This role requires a labourer to work closely with skilled tradespeople and perform various labour activities. The ideal candidate will be an ambassador of Strike Group's Code of Conduct and Values, promoting a culture of safety and respect within the workplace.

POSITION DETAILS
• Based out of our Crossfield fabrication facility.
• Monday to Friday shift.
• 10-hour days.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices.
• Assist with installation, testing, and rigging of pipe spools and materials.
• Clean construction work areas and fuel equipment as needed.
• Zoom boom and skid steer experience is an asset.
• Perform other activities as directed.
• Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them.
• Return tools back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift.
• Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
• Equipment operating experience is an asset but is not required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors.
