Job Title: Transportation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team in Calgary. As a key member of our Traffic Engineering / Transportation Planning team, you will provide technical support and services to help define the cities of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct traffic impact studies, including data collection, traffic analysis, and report writing
  • Perform parking studies, including policy review, data analysis, and site visits
  • Develop technical memos and reports
  • Design roadway conceptual and functional designs
  • Prepare traffic management plans and signage plans
  • Design traffic signals and coordinate with other design disciplines
  • Assist with proposal development and project coordination

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Technology
  • 5+ years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning
  • Working knowledge of Synchro and/or similar traffic analysis software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
