About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Mahi Cornwall Inc. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and service of food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
    • Prepare and submit reports on food orders, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Establish work schedules and maintain records of staff hours and attendance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to train and develop staff.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
