We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Risk Analyst to support the implementation of our Enterprise Risk Management Program and ensure operational resilience across our businesses.


Job Description


This role reports to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, and involves collaborating with business lines, risk management, technology, information security, legal, and other stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Support the development of risk evaluation processes and collaborate with teams to identify, assess, and measure key strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Partner with business groups, risk management, technology, and other teams to ensure effective risk management and mitigation.
  • Liaise with internal governance committees, senior management, and regulators to provide risk profiles and updates.
  • Support the completion of quarterly risk and control self-assessment exercises and maintain the corporate risk register.
  • Research and analyze risks related to specific projects and assessments.
  • Define key performance and risk indicators for effective business management.
  • Lead the incident management program and ensure adequate identification, analysis, and reporting of risk events.
  • Update annual documentation related to business continuity management and coordinate disaster recovery tests.
  • Implement risk models, methodologies, standards, and procedures to enable post-trade ERM/ORM monitoring.
  • Review contracts and SLAs, perform due diligence, and risk assessment for critical service providers.
  • Lead business units in creating and operationalizing key initiatives post-implementation system and process-wide incident management processes.
  • Monitor opportunities to enhance non-resilience and propose risk mitigation measurements.
  • Assist in preparing senior leadership team, risk management committee, and board reporting.
  • Promote a positive risk management culture through training, communication, and standard methodologies.

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:


Main Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree, Master preferred;
  • Experience in delivering ERM/ORM projects;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in risk management or middle/back office services;
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts like operational risk management, risk appetite, internal controls, business continuity management, crisis management, third-party risk management, cyber risk, and related operational resilience concepts;
  • Good understanding of financial institutions, infrastructures, and markets;
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and coordinating work across multiple partners.

Assets:



  • Certifications in risk and/or business continuity;
  • Knowledge of Google for Work;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Experience within a management consulting firm.
