Senior Consultant – ESG Strategy and Assurance (Mid - Senior Level)

We are seeking an experienced Environment, Social and Governance Management Consultant to support our clients in the mining / metals supply chain. The successful candidate will work on a variety of challenging projects, designing, implementing, and improving enterprise-wide management systems, programs, policies, and standards.

The role will involve interacting with clients at corporate, division, and site levels, as well as supporting and delivering presentations, trainings, and workshop facilitation. The consultant will also be responsible for managing multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations, ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Responsible Mining Standards and associated frameworks, including IRMA, TSM, ASI, Copper Mark, RMI, ICMM, ResponsibleSteel, and others.
  • Maintain a strong working and technical knowledge of critical mineral supply chain due diligence processes, and related drivers including emerging legislation and stakeholder-led initiatives.
  • Distil and analyze complex data, trends, and concepts into clear and concise takeaways and executive summaries.
  • Develop perspectives on demand drivers, integrated services to meet client needs, go-to-market campaigns, and proposals for existing and new clients.
  • Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience relevant to the responsibilities described above.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience creating clear deliverables for audiences ranging from corporate executives to plant-level operators.
  • Direct experience developing and implementing corporate strategy, organizational design, and/or process optimization.
  • Experience or working knowledge of mining/metal supply chain and industry requirements.
  • Experience with data analysis, modeling, and visualization preferred.
  • Strong MS Office computer skills, with an advanced understanding of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting tight deadlines, and traveling to clients as needed.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, hard science preferred.
  • MBA; joint master's degree with an environment-related program preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 14001, SA 8000, APSCA, CSCA is preferred.
  • Fluent in either Spanish or French, both written and spoken.
  • Professional experience in any of the following industries: Jewelry, Refiners/Smelters, Mining.
