Job Summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking an experienced ESG Strategy and Assurance Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will work on a variety of challenging projects for clients across a range of industry sectors, primarily focused on the mining / metals supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Structure and guide work processes to design, implement, and improve enterprise-wide management systems, programs, policies, and standards, with support from ERM subject matter experts, focusing on the mining/minerals supply chain.
  • ESG Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Responsible Mining Standards and associated frameworks, including IRMA, TSM, ASI, Copper Mark, RMI, ICMM, ResponsibleSteel, and others.
  • Client Engagement: Interact with clients through interviews at corporate, division, and site levels, as well as support and deliver presentations, trainings, and workshop facilitation.
  • Project Delivery: Manage multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Data Analysis: Distil and analyze complex data, trends, and concepts into clear and concise takeaways and executive summaries.
  • Business Development: Develop perspectives on demand drivers, integrated services to meet client needs, go-to-market campaigns, and proposals for existing and new clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and cultivate client relationships and represent a full range of ERM services by staying knowledgeable of trends in the environment, health, safety, and sustainability fields.
  • Culture and Collaboration: Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of professional experience relevant to the responsibilities described above.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience creating clear deliverables for audiences ranging from corporate executives to plant-level operators.
  • Strategy and Optimization: Direct experience developing and implementing corporate strategy, organizational design, and/or process optimization.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience or working knowledge of mining/metal supply chain and industry requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Experience with data analysis, modeling, and visualization preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong MS Office computer skills, with an advanced understanding of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting tight deadlines, and traveling to clients as needed.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline, hard science preferred.
  • Advanced Education: MBA; joint master's degree with an environment-related program preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Lead Auditor/Practitioner Status: Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 14001, SA 8000, APSCA, CSCA is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in either Spanish or French, both written and spoken.
  • Industry Experience: Professional experience in any of the following industries: Jewelry, Refiners/Smelters, Mining.
