Job Title: Secondary Occasional Teaching Position

We are seeking a qualified Secondary Occasional Teacher to join our team at the Waterloo Region District School Board. As an Occasional Teacher, you will provide instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects and grade levels.

Job Summary

The Waterloo Region District School Board is committed to providing a comprehensive educational program for approximately 65,000 students in the Region of Waterloo. We are seeking a qualified Secondary Occasional Teacher to join our team and provide instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects and grade levels.

Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects and grade levels
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Minimum one Intermediate and Senior Qualification and one other additional qualification at the Senior level in a different subject area
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or youth
