Sales Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Supervisor to join our team at Haither Trading Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and hiring and training new staff members. Additionally, the Sales Supervisor will be responsible for teaching interest or professional development courses, authorizing payments, and exhibiting designers planning and developing permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise staff and assign sales workers to duties
- Hire and train new staff members
- Teach interest or professional development courses
- Authorize payments and exhibit designers planning and developing permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays
- Order merchandise and authorize return of merchandise
- Establish work schedules and sell merchandise
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory and supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
- Manage cash and oversee payroll administration
- Conduct performance reviews and supervise office and volunteer staff
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
- Recruitment of newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
- Provision of diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
- Offering mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Development and maintenance of relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
- Provision of cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
- Facilitation of access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities
- Application of hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities
- Offering mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
- Provision of diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
