Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine Method of Shipment: Research and select the most cost-effective and efficient method of shipping goods to meet customer demands.
  • Schedule Distribution: Plan and coordinate the distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
  • Prepare Shipping Documents: Accurately prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Assemble Containers and Crates: Safely and efficiently assemble containers and crates to prepare goods for shipping.
  • Inspect and Verify Goods: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain Record-Keeping: Accurately maintain internal record-keeping systems to track inventory, shipments, and customer information.
  • Record Shortages and Reject Damaged Goods: Identify and record shortages and reject damaged goods to minimize losses and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Unpack Goods Received: Safely and efficiently unpack goods received to ensure accurate inventory and minimize damage.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods to ensure safe and efficient handling.
  • Supervise Material Handlers and Helpers: Provide guidance and support to material handlers and helpers to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Pay and Receive Payments: Accurately process payments for goods and services to ensure timely and efficient financial transactions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
