Nurse Practitioner Role Overview
BC Cancer is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Kelowna, BC. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive cancer care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic investigations as needed.
- Provide follow-up treatment and communicate with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and prognoses.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess and diagnose patient status.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.

Salary Range: $145,739 - $160,313/year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part-time roles.
