Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Store Operations Manager to join our team at Circle K/Shell. As a key member of our retail business, you will be responsible for directing and controlling daily operations, evaluating daily performance, and managing staff and assigning duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and Control Daily Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Evaluate Daily Performance: Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and other metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that the store runs smoothly.
  • Study Market Research and Trends: Stay up-to-date with market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Implement Price and Credits Policies: Develop and implement pricing and credits policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Plan Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses: Create and manage budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure that the store is operating within budget.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, ensuring that the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Oversee Payroll Administration: Manage payroll administration, including processing payrolls, handling employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights and recommendations to improve store performance.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules, ensuring that staff members are adequately staffed and that the store is operating efficiently.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Approve the return of merchandise, ensuring that returns are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that the store runs smoothly.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members, ensuring that the store is operating efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail business environment.
  • Work Setting: Retail business environment.
  • Tasks: Direct and control daily operations, evaluate daily performance, manage staff and assign duties, study market research and trends, implement price and credits policies, plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, resolve issues, oversee payroll administration, prepare reports, establish work schedules, authorize return of merchandise, assign sales workers to duties, supervise and coordinate activities.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
