About the Opportunity
Rousseau Mazzuca LLP, a dynamic and growing law firm in downtown Toronto, is seeking an experienced associate to join our civil litigation team. As a mid-level civil litigation lawyer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of matters, including corporate/commercial disputes, injunctions, and arbitrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist partners on litigation matters, including research, drafting, and carriage of files
- Meet with clients to discuss case strategies and progress
- Prepare correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Prepare for and attend mediations, cross-examinations, and discoveries
- Prepare for and attend motions, pre-trials, and trials in Superior Court
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in litigation, preferably in the construction industry
- Excellent analytical, writing, oral communication, research, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
