Canadian Orthodontic Partners is a leading provider of orthodontic services, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and experiences. We are seeking a talented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in Truro, NS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care and support in a compassionate and enthusiastic manner, building strong relationships with each patient.
- Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goals for comprehensive oral health.
- Collect patient dental and medical history to reference during examinations.
- Prepare patients for the Orthodontist and assist with X-Rays.
- Examine gums for infections or gum disease, clean teeth, and educate patients on good oral hygiene habits.
- Perform lab duties, maintain dental instruments and supplies, and communicate with patients regarding aftercare.
- Collaborate with the Orthodontist and leadership team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred.
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
- Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid training.
