Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care and support in a compassionate and enthusiastic manner, building strong relationships with each patient.
  • Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goals for comprehensive oral health.
  • Collect patient dental and medical history to reference during examinations.
  • Prepare patients for the Orthodontist and assist with X-Rays.
  • Examine gums for infections or gum disease, clean teeth, and educate patients on good oral hygiene habits.
  • Perform lab duties, maintain dental instruments and supplies, and communicate with patients regarding aftercare.
  • Collaborate with the Orthodontist and leadership team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred.
  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
  • Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Great time management and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training.
