We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Tora Restaurants Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook sushi dishes to order, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and service.
  • Develop and implement new sushi recipes and menu items, staying up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and high-quality dishes.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as a sushi chef or in a related culinary role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
