Assistant Director of Resident Care

Mon Sheong Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Resident Care to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident-centered care services in our long-term care facility.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement resident-centered care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Lead and manage a team of nursing and personal support care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for long-term care facilities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care services.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the quality of care services and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve resident satisfaction and engagement.
- Collaborate with the quality and risk management team to identify and mitigate risks to resident safety and well-being.
- Registered Nurse with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care facility, including experience in infection control and leadership roles.
- Post-RN education, certification, or degree in nursing administration and management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Proficiency in oral and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
