Assistant Director of Resident Care

Mon Sheong Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Resident Care to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident-centered care and services in our long-term care facility.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement resident-centered care plans that meet the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
- Lead and manage a team of nursing and personal support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and services.
- Develop and implement education and training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with the Quality and Risk Management Committee to identify and implement strategies to improve resident care and services.
- Registered Nurse with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care facility, including experience in infection control and leadership roles.
- Post-RN education, certification, or degree in nursing administration and management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Proficiency in oral and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
