Primary Care Support Specialist

Northern Health is seeking a highly skilled and efficient Casual Assistant to support the Primary Care department. As a key member of the interprofessional team, the successful candidate will provide operational and administrative support in a clinic and/or community setting, adhering to Northern Health's policies and procedures.
About the Role
The Primary Care Assistant will work closely with Primary Care providers and the Interprofessional Team (IPT) to deliver safe, efficient, and quality Primary Care Services throughout Northern Health. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to Primary Care providers and the IPT
• Maintain accurate records and files
• Assist with clinic operations and patient flow
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Northern Health's policies and procedures
What We Offer

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Grade 12 diploma and a graduation from an Office Assistant Course from an accredited Community College, plus two years of recent experience in a healthcare setting. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
