Job Title: UNIX/LINUX Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled UNIX/LINUX Developer to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc.

Job Summary:

The UNIX/LINUX Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex applications with a focus on accuracy, performance, security, and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Oracle PL/SQL, Python, and cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop highly complex applications using Java, Oracle PL/SQL, and Python.
  • Work with Sr. Management/Director to drive strategy and modernize market risk management platforms.
  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of effective and quality solutions.
  • Ensure delivery meets integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Coordinate infrastructure needs and assist with documentational requirements.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of strong development experience in Java, Spring boot.
  • 5+ years' experience using Apache Struts hands-on.
  • 3+ years of experience in Python with knowledge of data frames and at least one Python web framework.
  • 10+ years of RDBMS experience such as MS SQL.
  • 1+ years working experience of Apache Tomcat.
  • Recent experience working with fluency on Linux environment with Linux command line, and shell script.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices (Azure or GCP).
  • Exposure to Apache Airflow.
  • Market risk or financial risk experience.
Soft Skills:
  • Motivated individual to take up leadership responsibilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns, microservices architecture, and high-performance techniques.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
Selection Process:
  • MS Teams Interview.
  • 1st round: Video interview with HM and developer. Technical interview with problem-solving (60 mins).
  • 2nd round: Potential director interview.
