About the Role

The Food Service Manager will lead a team of staff who prepare and portion food, training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures. They will also estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Responsibilities
  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and supervise the activities of staff members.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff performance and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on key performance indicators.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic security clearance.
